The Other Side Prologue

Prologue

Brian Kowalski is a 14 year old boy that discovers another world that is not like any other, the “other side”.
“Just open the freaking box Brian!” Lin said. Lin is Brian’s best friend. She is in to comics; her favorite comic is “The Invisible Man”. Brian has two other friends who are Franky and Pistachio (more on them later). “The box is close too tight!!!” Brian yelled at Lin. Suddenly the box was opening and a light came out. Brian and Lin looked closely inside and they saw half of a button, a roll of tape, and some rope. “What the hell is this?!” Brian wondered. “What’s with all this crap Brian? I thought you said that inside was a dream!” “I don’t know, my dad said that to me, so I believed him.” Brian muttered.
Lin tried picking up the rope but it wouldn’t move. “Why is it stuck?!” Lin angrily shouted. As she tugged on the rope it released from its cage. The box opened up with another section inside. Inside were a key and a piece of paper. Brian picked up the key while Lin read what was on the paper, “Inside here is a key to bare, but to unlock its partner requires lots of care.” Lin dropped the piece of paper as the walls shook and they drooped to the ground and tried to run away but it was too late.
The walls were silent then Brian spoke, “Lin are you there?” “Yeah, I’m here” Lin answered. Then a light appeared and they both gasped.
